RR oil temperature gauge
Do you know exactly when you can push your engine to the limit?
The engine oil does not develop its full lubrication performance until it reaches about 80°C. But usually the water temperature gauge in the cockpit indicates optimum operating temperature before then.
Simply replace the original oil filler plug with the oil temperature gauge. The gauge can be turned in the adaptor to the desired position when hot. The (stainless steel) gauge is filled with oil for optimum damping - sensor up to 200 mm length - and is rubber-mounted in the adapter. The air bubble in the damping oil is for pressure compensation as the temperature changes. Gauges with a sensor longer than 200 mm are teflon bedded.
- Available for various models
- Sight glass made of Makrolon (may become milky if it comes into contact with fuel)
- Aluminium adaptor
- Measuring range: 20°C -140°C
- Sensor also functions as dipstick
Attention: Oil temperature gauges marked with * do have a black face plate.
